Hy Carrel of Community Canvases, known for facilitating WRITE ON workshops throughout Buffalo, has helped me recruit a group of engaged, local folks. Our open call for this free experience of three workshops asked anyone curious about making use of their creative capacities to apply, regardless of artistic credentials. The group of fourteen delightful people who make up our group have kicked things off with admirable commitment to the project, and bracingly compelling work. Hy also offers his skill for maintaining a container of trust throughout each session, so that we can enjoy a grounded and emotionally safe experience.
